Field day, take 2

If you missed the first post about Field Day, click here.

Okay, where was I?

Oh. After Jayce (and the entire 2nd grade) grabbed a soda or a bottle of water, we headed inside to Jaina's classroom to celebrate her birthday with her class.

I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the cupcakes immediately after decorating them! You know, before the frosting had settled and rubbed up against the carrier. And when there was 24 cupcakes, not 3 left. Oh well!

The class had gone to go get lunch in the cafeteria, so it was calm and quiet with just our family for a minute.

Jayce occupied a vacant desk and fit right in with all the other kids. The 2nd graders were very sweet to him!

We only stayed in the class for a few minutes. It was fast approaching the noon hour. And if you know my family, you know what we do every Friday at noon....

Taco Bell Day! (Thank you, Sandra the manager, for taking our picture!)

And here's some random photos from Field Day that I forgot to add to yesterday's post...

The end.

  6. I loved both of your field day posts. We love field day at our house too! Our school spread it over two days this year, one for k4-2 and one for 3rd-5th grades. So, I had two full days. It was so much fun. The teachers play the fifth graders in kickball and all the classes come out to watch. It's so much fun.
I'm going to send a link from this post to our PE teacher. She organizes our field day, and I think she'd get a kick out of the toilet paper the teacher game and the plunger game, looks like an olympic torch! So cute!
