The Hammock Shops

This is it.

My very last post about our beach trip.

And you know what?

I'm pretty darn sick of looking at 600 pictures of it already.

I'm ready to be done.

Just like I felt the day we left. Vacations are great and all, but I love coming back home. There's just no place like home.

But, before we could leave Pawley's Island, we had to visit the historic Hammock Shops first.

We did not, in fact, buy a hammock.

I totally want one, though. But we'd have to buy a  hammock stand because we don't have very many trees in our back yard. And they are kind of expensive. And when would we have time to actually lay on it?

So, we bought other stuff instead.

-a monogrammed note pad for our neighbors
-an owl birdhouse for Gray
-crab magnets (two, to be exact)
-a dog treat for Alli
-lots of Christmas tree ornaments
-peace sign jewelry for Jaina
-Brain-quest cards for Jayce (he picked them out)

We stopped just outside the toy/game store to take pictures :)

Sorry about that last picture of Jayce. He kinda has a thing for blowing spit bubbles. It drives me crazy.

Farewell lovely Island of Pawley's :) We'll see you next year!

  2. Eliza totally has the spit bubble thing going on too... she does it when she's bored or waiting for something. It happens a lot at Church! It looks like you scored really great family pictures on your trip!

  3. I've had to start leaving my camera at home. If I don't I take at least 600 pictures of where we've been that day. Honestly, who wants to look at thousands of pictures from our multiple trips to the splash pad, park, etc? Haha Looks like you had a great trip :)

I read your photography section and sounds like we have the same love for photography!! :) Looking at your photography blog now--it's wonderful. I, too, hope to take it to the next level someday.

  5. On the bright side for me, since I'm way behind in my blog reading I didn't have a chance to get tired of your beach trip and pictures! I just got to spend your whole vacation with you all at once :) Great pics as usual, however. We miss the beach!!! (Almost as much as we miss hanging out with you...)
