Holiday Lights

One of our other yearly traditions is to attend Roper Mountain's Holiday Light display. The forecast was crappy for the night we went, but on the upside, the line for the balloon animals was the shortest we had ever seen it!

I think we had to wait about 15-20 minutes to actually get into the entrance, but things moved well after that.

We bundled the kids up in hats, gloves, and coats to walk through the raining Winter Wonderland.

Brian was the one that sat Jocelyn in the sleigh. I was the one to discover her soaking wet jean bottoms after lifting her out.

But, like I said, only waiting a few minutes in a balloon line makes anything better.

The kids also picked out prizes: Jayce got a light up spinning top, Jaina picked out a gaudy light up head band, and Jocelyn insisted on a Number 3 necklace because she has finally admitted that she is going to be three years old in January.

Then it was roasting marshmellow time.

We walked around a bit more looking at the beautiful art work from the local elementary schools. Our favorite was the mindcraft one.

The rain didn't damper our fun time there at all. :)

We saw a few more lights on our way out.

We finished up our wonderful night with wings from one of our favorite Greenville restaurants. YUM!
