The Light at the End of the Tunnel

I fully admit I'm the kind of person that lives for the future and sometimes forgets to enjoy the "now" of my crazy busy life. I always think, "life will be easier/slow down/ get better after school's out/school's back in/ after baseball season is over/ the holidays are over/ Fall sessions are done", etc.

Summer break has finally arrived and I couldn't be happier. This school year was less than ideal. It was stressful on the kids to be at such a disorganized school and that stress was felt here at our house as well.

But now that's over! No alarm clocks, no homework, no projects! We did it! And we deserve this wonderful 10 week break!

I've been insanely busy this Spring with photo sessions, especially with newborn sessions, and I took on a wedding in NC on Easter weekend. I'm happy to say that I finally delivered the gallery of images to the bride last night and I finally feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel :)

Here's some snap shots from my phone on what we've been up to:

Lunch at McD's with the fam:

Jocelyn learned to microwave bacon all by herself:

We continued our Memorial Day tradition and tie-dyed shirts! More pics from my DSLR camera to come later :)

I had been good and hadn't bought any new LuLaRoe clothes in a while, but I had to get in on the Americana action :)

We enjoyed a sprinkler playdate with our MOMS Club :)

We've been taking nightly walks after dinner with all of Jocelyn's stuffed animals:

We baked cupcakes for our Cupcake stuffed animal :)

We had another fun pool day with MOMS Club

We had our first Friday family lunch of Summer at Taco Bell:

And both Jocelyn and Jayce advanced to yellow belts at mixed martial arts! They were thrilled! They love karate, jiu jitsu, and sparing.

Jaina and I tried on bathing suits at Kohl's today, but you aren't getting pictures of that :P

We are ready for Summer!
