Christmas Eve 2012

We have a few traditions on Christmas Eve. First, we attend breakfast with our friends at Denny's (along with 1/2 the town... its THAT crowded!). Then we usually go to the Mall for last minute stuff. The mall wasn't too insane this year and we got a great parking spot! While the kids and I were at the mall, Brian was at Walgreens buying my stocking stuff. What can I say.... we love to wait until the last minute for stuff!

This year we added a new activity to our Christmas Eve line up. Although our family has never affiliated with a particular church, denomination, or faith, our kids have been attending a small church branch that our neighbors started in their home. On Christmas Eve, we got to attend the kids' Christmas Pageant. Jaina was an angel and the narrator. Jayce was a shepherd and also played the prelude music.

After the beautiful Pageant, we headed over to FT and Nancy's house to open Christmas presents with Brian's best friend's family. Christmas Eve was even more fun this year with two new babies to add to the mix!

(sorry for the crappy cell phone pics)

We got home at 8 PM, just in time to make deviled eggs (which is what my kids requested to eat for dinner!), bake cookies, open up their new matching Christmas pajamas, and write letters to Santa.

Although the big kids didn't get in bed until 9:30 or go to sleep until 10:30, Grandma had Jocelyn out like a light before that :)

Just in time for Santa to come...
