Spring Soccer
Wait a minute...
Didn't we JUST get done with basketball?
Oh well, no rest for the weary! Saturday was the kick off to our Spring Soccer season. (Jayce has been practicing baseball for the past month and he'll have his first game this upcoming weekend!)
Jaina's best friend Sarah is on her team again and she couldn't be more thrilled.
Despite having several lovely people offer to hold Jocelyn,
she was a little "Miss Fussy pants" and just wanted her mommy. Soccer happened to fall right smack in the middle of her nap time and she would have much preferred to be home and in her co-sleeper. She slept for about 30 minutes in the mei tai carrier, but that was it.
I haven't quite figured out how to nurse in my Maya wrap yet so I'm far from "hands free" when nursing. That made it extremely difficult to get pictures of Jaina's game in action when I have to have both hands to manually focus and adjust my light meter. I would have made Brian help, but he had to take Jayce to baseball practice 15 minutes after her game started.
I did get these couple of pictures before the game began:
They were eating green slushies in honor of St. Patrick's Day :)
More sports blog posts to come in the next few weeks! Our Saturdays will be filled with baseball and soccer! I hope Jocelyn learns to nap on the road!
