38 weeks

Nothing new to report...

(except that I'm down to just a few pairs of pants that fit and obviously I need to stop wearing medium sized shirts!)

Blood pressure is awesome, no signs of pre-eclampsia, no swelling, baby's head is down, baby's active, lots of braxton hicks contractions, only gained 30 lbs!!

Its crazy to me that two ladies I know, both due a few days after me, have already had their babies via c-section. One was medically necessary, the other one was questionable.

As much as I'd like to meet my baby, I also realize that he/she is not quite ready to come out just yet. I'm thankful every day for the excellent care, advice, and treatment I've received from my midwives at the birth center.

All of my gender neutral yellow and gray clothes, hats, socks, and blankets are ready for Baby J.

I'm no longer anticipating the upcoming birth with any trepidation as I was a few weeks ago. I'm ready!
