Talking 'bout chalk and Charlie Brown

Whenever we take Jocelyn out in public, people remark about how advanced her speech is. After having a child with a severe speech delay, I can't help but be excited about how verbal she is.

She loves to order for herself at restaurants. The other night, I asked her, "Do you want to eat chicken and fries or spaghetti?" " GHETTI!" she yelled. But when the server asked Jocelyn what she wanted to eat, she replied, "Chicken and fries, please!" Lol. She ended up actually eating both because Jaina did order chicken and fries and Jocelyn wound up choosing spaghetti and they shared :)

I keep meaning to record more videos of Jocelyn both with our video camera and my phone. I might be good at taking pictures of my third child, but in the video department, her older sister takes first prize on that one. I documented everything Jaina did by video. I have 6 VHS tapes of my kids being cute and little :)

I caught a bit of conversation with my little princess while we were coloring chalk on Saturday. Her speech isn't terribly clear nor did she use any complete sentences that she is capable of using, but she's cute nonetheless. I tried to repeat what she said in way of translation for the viewer :)

  2. She's so precious! Cute video.

My son was speech delayed so I was stunned when Natalie came out talking early.
