Special Needs Blog Hop

Tonight I'm hooking up with Allie at Little Baby Fields for a blog hop for the SN community.

For this blog hop, we are supposed to write down our 5 New Year's Goals.

Well, this is going to be hard because I really don't make goals. Maybe because no one will give me a prize when I complete it. I'm not very intrinsically motivated :)

So, let's say I was making New Year's goals. (but I'm not) They might include the following things:

1. cut down on the amount of soda I drink (that is so not gonna happen!)
2. work out 30 minutes a day (I totally gave up on it. I just bought new bigger jeans)
3. stop eating out so much (again, probably not gonna happen!)
4. Read the book for book club each month (This is quite possible... except that I still haven't purchased January's book yet!)
5. Get my website up and running for my photo business (this better happen!)

I'd add "get pregnant" for this year, too, but as I'm noticing, its kind of out of my hands. I've been doing my part. Brian's been (reluctantly) doing his part. Nothing's happening. Oh well, that's another post for another day.

Comments

  1. Sounds like good resolutions. I need to cut back on eating out. I hate McDonalds but it is the ONLY thing Nathan may eat. So he may take one bite and I eat the rest.

If you need any help setting up your website, let me know, I just went through it. =)

  2. hi jess,
nice to meet you i'm shelley I am a special needs mom too! I had 2 pregnancies complicated by pre-eclampsia/toxemia and brought 2 32 weeker preemies into the world, my oldest will be 23 this year and had no complications other then her temper! lol but my younger daughter will be 19 next month and has cp, it has been a journey. When my kids were small i got frustrated at not being able to take them to play at the park, so i designed and created the first fully inclusive playground in Maryland after raising 1 million dollars to do so in 3 years... It was the first of it's kind in our state and one of the first in the country... I went on and helped many around the country... and nowww I'm writing and love meeting other families with special needs children... OK that's me in very short! lol
ps i gave up diet coke and all soda last february! you can do it! :)
    *waving,
    shelley
