*Yawn*

I'm having the hardest time staying awake past 9:00 PM these days. I've never been a night owl by any means, but I used to be able to stay up until 10:00 PM most nights just fine.

Poor kids are having trouble sleeping as well. Jaina has been getting to bed too late (my fault, nothing she is doing wrong) and having trouble waking up at 6:45 AM.

And Jayce, who used to go to bed without a hint of complaint, now fusses a lot before conking out. His naps are all over the place... sometimes he naps from 1-4 on the weekends, sometimes he falls asleep in the car when picking Jaina up from school. Sometimes he just naps when we get home, but most often as of late, he's not napping at all. Those are the worst nights because he wakes up significantly more during the night when he doesn't nap during the day.

So, I've been dragging lately. Its amazing, though, how little sleep a mother needs to actually function during the day. I know I don't have it as bad as some. Although Jayce wakes up frequently, I am usually able to get him back to sleep within 5 minutes or so. Only occasionally has he gotten up at 4:00 AM and been up for the day. On those days, I am not even sure if I can use the word "function". At least, not in a sentence!

Wow - this sounds like my nights! My son, who is almost 2, fights going to nap and bed. And then to top it off, he wakes up as well during the nights. Although he slept through the night last night...

You are not alone - I'll think you at 3:00am when he wakes up! Hahaha

He is also an early waker and I'm usually keeping him company on the couch while he plays with his dinky cars at 5:30 in the morning.
