Spring Break: Monday!

Oh, how sweet it was not to have to take kids to school this morning!!! Granted, we only slept in until 7:00 AM, but those extra 30 minutes felt like heaven :) I know there are many many advantages to home schooling, but for me, if we ever home schooled, I think the #1 reason would be not having to get up at the crack of dawn to get kids dressed, fed, and off to school before they are coherent.
I know, I'm kinda lazy :)

We spent our first official Spring Break morning at the doctor's office, though. I suspected last week that Jaina was in the midst of a sinus infection and I was right. We also talked about allergy meds and her need for them. She will now be taking 10 mg of Claritin a day, plus a dose of nasonex to keep these allergies under control. Poor thing, guess she can't escape the inevitable family history of allergies!

After that, we went over to my mom's house to make crafts from the Family Fun magazine. I forgot my camera, so I'll just have to wait to post pics.

Then we went out to eat Mexican food with our former neighbors. I think all the kids played with their food more than they consumed any, but we had fun at any rate :)

The Simpsons invited us back to their house, so we hung out there for a few hours before taking their middle child home with us for the night.

On our way home, we stopped at the park by the lake:

Jayce wasn't feeling well, I think he's coming down with a cold. He had a drippy nose that he tried to use his fingers unless there was a tissue quite handy. Don't you love his pink nails? He sat so patiently for them to be painted a few weeks ago.

Once we were home, we all ate a healthy dinner of baked chicken, potatoes, and veggies before watching a movie and eating popcorn. It was a good day :)
