Theme: Autumn Beauty

If you know me, you know of my deep obsession with following photography blogs. There's nothing I like to do more than peruse photographic images taken by talented artists. Do I consider myself one? No way, Jose. I fully admit that I am just a mom that likes to follow my kids around with a camera 24/7. But I am very inspired by other photographer's work and that's a good thing :)

I've been following a photography blog entitled "I Heart Faces" for a while now. I've never posted a single entry to any of their themes or contests. But I feel inspired to do so today.

This picture was taken 10 days ago at a local park about 1 hour before sunset. The little boy is the son of a very good friend of mine. He never ever ever sits still. He is a comedian of the highest order and I guarantee that you will keel over laughing if you ever meet him in person. Normally I can't even get in front of him long enough to snap a single picture, posed or natural. This was a rare occasion, and one fitting for the theme "Autumn Beauty". This is also a photo that none of my blog readers have seen yet because I've been lazy and am very behind on my blogging!

At any rate, I'm thankful that we threw caution to the wind and played so hard at the park. I'm also thankful I captured some of it on camera :)

  1. That is a great picture!

I think you take fantastic pictures of the kids. All that following along with a camera is paying off. :)

  2. I love the bokeh.

The moment all photographer's wait for , the "golden hour" or "minute" as I call it. I have some of my best photographs during this time.

Great capture. You should post it to Flickr too.

Its good to be inspired, it comes in waves for me, so I have to catch it while I can.
