Humane Society Pet Portraits

Every year, the local Humane Society raises operating funds during the holiday seasons by offering Pet Portraits to their friends. And I call them "friends" because it seems as though once you adopt an animal from the shelter, you become SHS friends for life. There were so many happy adopted families that couldn't wait to return to the shelter to show off their adopted dog or cat. One woman even brought her dog that she had adopted just the day before!

I had the privilege of being one of the pet photographers during one of the photo sessions. I had so much fun! (And my allergies weren't *too* terribly annoying!) A big "THANK YOU!" to my friend Katie for allowing me the opportunity.

Interested in adopting a pet this holiday season? Go and visit your local Humane Society animal shelter near you.

Here are two animals available for adoption at the Spartanburg location:

  1. aww, this is so adorable.

I love the photos, great job. Were you nervous? I always am.

I will show Joshua these photos, he thinks Santa is bringing him a kitten for Christmas (not :(, at least not now)

  2. What a cute idea! Who can resist a pet posing with Santa! I adopted two puppies earlier this year, although I think they may now be too big for even Santa's lap.

  3. What a great idea. If I lived closer I would so take that cat! I love cats, they make such good companions.
