And speaking of Brian...
I realize, from time to time, that Brian is notoriously MIA from most of my blog posts. I don't mean to give the impression that he's not an integral part of the family. He is, by all means. However, most of our adventures take place in the hours of 7 AM to 8 PM, which only leaves about 40 minutes in the morning and 60 minutes in the evening to be part of our daytime activities. We have a lot of fun on the weekends together, but Brian typically doesn't enjoy having his picture taken. And when I do catch him, he either scowls or gives a really fake funny smile. See below for examples :)
I am so thankful that he works so much outside the home so I don't have to. I could not imagine being away from my children from 8-5 every day, 40 hours a week. I am sure they'd be fine... after all daycare is filled with structured activities and full-time friend companionship. But I wouldn't be. I would be sitting at a desk wishing that *I* was the one taking them to the park and the fountain and reading them books. I am so glad to be a Stay-at-home mom :)
